The ECO Basic Distillation Kit for Beginners is a versatile and multifunctional set designed for those starting out in distillation and looking for a single piece of equipment suitable for both alcohol and aromatic distillation.

The ECO model is our economical option and is recommended for occasional or sporadic domestic use. Its 3-litre still can be used with both alcoholic ferments and plants or flowers to produce hydrosols and essential oils.

🏺 3-litre versatile still

The kit includes a 3-litre multifunction still, prepared for both alcohol and aromatic distillation.

This versatility allows the same equipment to be used for different types of distillation, adapting the process according to the raw material being distilled.

🥃 Alcohol distillation

For alcohol distillation, the 3-litre still offers an approximate yield of 10-15%, considering a ferment of 10º alcohol.

This allows approximately 300-450 ml per distillation to be obtained.

🌿 Aromatic distillation of plants and flowers

For aromatic distillation, the boiler has a capacity of 3 litres, while the column can hold approximately 200 g of plants or flowers per load.

When the plant material has exhausted its essential oil, the column can be emptied and reloaded during the same distillation.

🌸 This allows between 3 and 5 column loads per distillation, processing approximately 200-1000 g of plants or flowers per distillation.

The process can produce approximately:

💧 2-3 litres of hydrosol per distillation.

🌸 10-12 ml of pure essential oil per distillation.

The still is made from 100% copper, using 0.7 mm thick hammered copper sheet.

The equipment features bright brass finishes and riveted joints, providing a construction suitable for the domestic use intended for the ECO model.

🥃 Small alcoholmeter, 0-100º, for measuring alcohol strength.

🧪 100 ml graduated cylinder, for use with the alcoholmeter.

🔥 Column separation grate, to help prevent blockages during distillation.

🔥 Boiler separation grate, to prevent solid products from sticking to the bottom.

🧪 100 ml separating funnel, to facilitate the separation of oil and water.
