Made with 2mm thick copper sheet, hammered and with brass handles and nuts. The joints are welded to ensure durability.
This still has a total capacity of 220 liters and a useful capacity of 200 liters. The distillation time is approximately 4-5 hours.
If we distill without a rectifier, the yield is 10-15% of the useful capacity, which is equivalent to 20-30 liters per distillation at around 45% alcohol.
Regarding distillation with a rectifier, the yield would be around 15-20 liters at about 75% alcohol.
It includes several accessories such as a large thermometer from 0-120º to control the temperature, a large alcoholmeter from 0-100º to measure the alcohol content, a support for the alcoholmeter, a separation grid to prevent solids from sticking to the bottom of the boiler, a 2.5" discharge tube with stainless steel or brass valve to empty excess product, a 60 cm gas burner specific to this model, a rectification lens to purify the distillation, and iron supports on the boiler and condenser.
The advantages of this Bain Marie still include its water seal system between the boiler and the cap, which increases distillation results by 20%.
