This still has a capacity of 20 liters and offers a yield of 10-15% of its capacity, considering a 10º alcoholic ferment. This means that between 2 and 3 liters of distillate are obtained per distillation.
If a rectification or refinement lens is used during distillation, the alcohol content will increase and the yield will decrease, resulting in between 1.5 and 2.5 liters of distillate at approximately 75º alcoholic.
The still is made of 1.2 mm copper sheet, with a hammered finish. In addition, it has bright brass handles and nuts, and all its joints are welded to ensure durability.
The 20-liter Complete Bain Marie Still includes several accessories to facilitate the distillation process.
These include a large thermometer from 0-120º to control the temperature, a large alcoholmeter from 0-100º to measure the alcohol content, a separation grid to prevent solids from sticking to the bottom of the boiler, a 25 cm gas grill specific to this model, and a rectification lens or refinement to obtain a purer and higher proof distillate.
Among the advantages of this still, its system of joining the boiler and the cap uses a water seal instead of the traditional flour paste or plumbing Teflon. This allows for a 20% increase in distillation output.
