This alembic has been manufactured with 2.5 mm copper sheet, hammered to guarantee its resistance and durability. Additionally, it features bright brass handles and nuts, as well as welded joints for added safety.
One of the standout features of this alembic is its head with condenser, which facilitates condensation and the passage of gases, resulting in a higher quality distillate.
It also includes protective irons on the boiler, which not only protect the equipment but also facilitate the removal of excess product.
As for its capacities and yields, this alembic has a total capacity of 550 liters and a useful capacity of 500 liters. The distillation time ranges from 6 to 8 hours, and the yield can reach 10-15% of the useful capacity.
In the case of simple distillation (without rectification), a yield of 50 to 75 liters at approximately 45º alcohol can be obtained.
On the other hand, with rectification distillation, a yield of 40 to 50 liters at approximately 75º alcohol can be obtained. These yield data are based on a 10º alcohol ferment.
This alembic comes complete with various accessories, such as a large thermometer of 0-120º to control the distillation temperature, a large alcoholmeter of 0-100º to measure the alcohol content, a stand for the alcoholmeter to facilitate its use, a discharge tube with a 2.5" valve in stainless steel or brass to empty the excess product from the boiler, a 70 cm gas burner grid specific to this model, a rectification lens for refining the distillation and obtaining purer alcohol, and iron supports on the boiler and cooler.
