This model features a hinge that allows emptying and reloading the column when the essential oil from the plants or flowers is depleted, giving us the possibility to load and unload the column 3 to 5 times per distillation.
The boiler capacity is 10 liters, while the approximate load in the column is 600 grams of plants or flowers. This means that by loading the column 3 to 5 times per distillation, we can distill from 600 to 3000 grams of plants or flowers.
The distillation results include 7 to 8 liters of hydrolate and 20 to 25 ml of pure essential oil.
The still is made of 1mm copper sheet, with a hammered finish, shiny brass handles and nuts, and welded joints.
In addition to the still, it includes a medium-sized thermometer of 0-120º to control the distillation temperature, a separation grid for the column, which is placed on top of the plants to prevent them from obstructing the tube that goes to the condenser, and a separation grid for the boiler, which prevents solid products from sticking to the bottom during direct distillations in the boiler.
