This model features a hinge that facilitates the emptying and reloading of the column when the essential oil from the plants or flowers is depleted. We can load and unload the column 3 to 5 times per distillation.
The boiler capacity is 20 liters, and the approximate load in the column is 800 grams of plants or flowers. This allows us to distill from 800 to 4000 grams of plants or flowers per distillation, by loading the column 3 to 5 times.
We will obtain around 17 to 18 liters of hydrolate and 30 to 35 ml of pure essential oil with each distillation.
The still is made of 1.2 mm copper sheet, with a hammered finish. The handles and nuts are made of shiny brass, and the joints are soldered.
The equipment includes a Large Thermometer 0-120º to control the distillation temperature.
We also include Separation Grills, one for the column, which is placed on top of the plants to prevent obstructions in the tube leading to the condenser, and another for the boiler, which prevents solid product from sticking to the bottom in direct boiler distillations.
